The ultimate solution to tackle everything from a coilover swap to a full 1 ton axle swap.These towers were designed around using a 2.5″ 14″ travel coilover or ORI strut while maximizing usable up travel.The YJ front shock tower straddles the profile of the factory front frame rails, making for easy fitment while adding strength to the frame and tower. The tower sits roughly centered on the top of the frame, allowing for more shock clearance and proper shock angle all while still maintaining room to clear the factory steering shaft.Only one of the two shock tabs are keyed into the tower allowing for whatever spacing you need, whether it’s 1.25″, 1.5″, or 1.6″ for ORI’s. We also incorporated our captured weld washers into the shock tab design for additional strength and convenience. We recommend welding the shock tabs to the top plate before welding the top plate to the tower upright. It makes finish welding a lot easier.We recommend tying the passenger—and driver-side shock towers together with a cross brace for additional strength.Variations:Front shock towers only – this includes left and right tower uprights, L & R tops, 4 inner shock tabs and 4 tear drop capture washers. Comes unweldedAdd on – includes above tower parts along with L&R bump can saddle mount (works with 2″ bump cans- cans not included), and driverside frame panhard hard mount (2″ inside mounting width).Towers pair great with our lower link brackets with shock mount. Those brackets allow you to drop the shock a little lower off the back of the axle, allowing for a lower ride height while also leaving room for a bump stop in front of the tower directly over the axle.*This kit requires welding and fabrication skills.
